Dossier Do-si-do
Swing your partner round and round, hands up high and touch the ground. Use your pen to sign on the right, this is what months of paperwork looks like! This large stack of adoption paperwork is called the dossier. It contains many required legal documents that we collected; each had to be notarized and apostilled and we even took a few road trips to capitol buildings (Oklahoma multiple times and Kansas once). All of this led us to the VERY exciting moment of sending our COMPLETED dossier off to our agency. We received lots of help from family and friends to make this document complete. Our agency was able to review our entire dossier quickly before the long Independence Day holiday and ship it off to our lawyer in Latin America. Our dossier has arrived safely in country and will now be translated into Spanish over the next four to six months!
