Nicaragua 5 Year Anniversary/Honeymoon Trip
We were married in December of 2007. Since we were both still in college and about to graduate, funds weren't there for us to take a honeymoon.

In the summer of 2012, Caleb and I decided to take an early five year anniversary trip/belated honeymoon to Nicaragua. Because Caleb spoke Spanish, we did touristy things as well as ventured off and explored what the natives do.

This country is absolutely beautiful; volcanoes, tropical birds, rainforests, howler monkeys, coffee, and amazing food, especially the fruit. (The pineapple blew my mind.) On the down side, it is a very poor country with children selling knockoff sunglasses in markets to help provide their only meal of the day instead of going to school.

We fell in love with Nicaragua and its people. They are frequently in our prayers and we hope to one day be able to give back to them the love and joy they shared with us.
